Maybe if he hadn't lost so much weight, but I doubt a guy who has taken a ton of abuse with a bulked up body is gonna come back to take even more with less muscle to shield him.

I suppose it comes down to when they start taking starters out of the lineup if the game gets out of hand. That said Brady is 7-10 in Miami as that for whatever reason they struggle in that city. Remember the crazy 69 yard lateral on the last play of the game last year? Still you had to watch that game last weekend to get an understanding of just how bad the Dolphins were. It was pretty disgusting and I'm not sure how much better they can be a week later with the same players.

Maybe it's not enough reps, but I think it's more these are two hopelessly mediocre teams with mediocre QBs (at best in Jameis case).

There is some truth to that as Tampa picked right up where they left off Monday. Newton is on pace for over 300 yards but man he's thrown some of the ugly passes with several throws off target into the sideline. I don't care what the Panthers say about him being able to make all the throws, he doesn't look comfortable to me and is struggling on throws over 15 yards.

Uhh this has been a problem with Thursday night games ever since they started. You get the odd good one but most are trash.

To be fair Thursday nighters have typically featured the worst division matchup that is available, and it's been rare for there to be a truly great matchup.
