Yeah, I was dumbfounded at the first 10k race I went to. It suddenly was so obvious (why had I not thought of this before), the outfits rule, a huge majority is in GREAT shape, everyone is all happy and friendly. It's just a utopia of attractiveness!

Yeah, I was doing a few different classes here and there and thought I'd meet a few people. Wasn't as fortunate, maybe I should check out this ripped thing

I did some yoga for awhile and was the only guy in the class... I got some weird looks in that one, not sure why

Go down on a Tuesday night, they have class at 4:30 and another at 5:30. I don't do the class, but I'm usually there around the same time on the bike or on the track. There's no better workout motivation than to see a room filled with ultra sexy females in hot pants and a sports bras.

I'm sure if you did the class you would meet lots of them too. People get there half an hour early and line up to make sure they get the prime real estate, and there's nothing else to do but chat with your neighbour while waiting for the instructor to show up.

It's a drop in, and there are lots of guys that do it. I used to, but I changed up the routine last year and stopped. It's a class that I guarantee will kick your ass though, which is why there are so many fit people that do it.

It's in the main gym (first one on the right when you walk in). Get there a half hour early, and ask the girls at the front desk what you need to do (you used to have to get passes, but I don't think they do that anymore). You'll also notice people lined up outside the gym, and that's what they're lining up for (they don't let people into the gym until about 20 minutes before the class starts).

I would say that 50% are ultra fit, and the rest of the people are just getting into the class. It's about 75% women, and 25% men, all ages and all body types. Soooooo many hot women though.

The other interesting thing if you're a male on the make is that it is becoming increasingly likely across Canada and the USA that the majority at a racing function are likely to be women.

The Houston Marathon from a few days ago is one example:

I had this same conversation with someone yesterday. If you're not using the peckfly, get off the damn peckfly. The gym isn't a social networking outlet. Man I can't stand that.

Oh and January at the gym is ridiculous.

Back on topic...with all this interest, wookie, you sure as hell better ask her out just for our sake.

It would also make a hilarious story about 4 months into a relationship about the days leading up to the beginning of the relationship. Pure Gold.

Yoga classes are unbelievable places to meet amazing girls. However, from my experience their creep radar is just going off the charts. If you don't look like you belong, don't even bother. They can sniff out the guys who are just looking to pick up a mile away. Plus, the only time you can really talk is right before and right after class. Its a tough go for any single guy.

My older brother (who's a HUGE granola) has been a yoga teacher for years. He's got a million hilarious stories about single guys showing up to class. I actually met my fiance at his studio a couple of years ago. Fortunately, my bro and I look uncannily alike, so it was obvious to her why I was there. If it weren't for that, she's told me I would've had no chance coming up to her at all.

Yeah, I had that issue. Being the only guy in the class, I actually felt like I was intruding and wasn't welcome. No one did anything really to make me feel that way, but I'm sure some people wondered.
