I know you can't speak for all girls. But I can't even count the number of girls that I have talked to that say that and seem to mean it. But will date the total opposite of what they claim to want to date. Which are cocky guys that turn out to be jerks and don't listen to them. Then after the fact complain to me that they can't find a nice guy that listens to them. Well it's getting harder to sympathize when they are hypocrites. But I digress.
I know they are more women on this board that give advice to the guys that always seem to get stuck in the "he's a nice guy, but I wouldn't date him, it would be like dating my bother" category.

If you are really concerned about asking her out at work for fear of getting her in trouble with her boss or seeming insincere or whatnot, wait for her to get off work and ask her then. Bottom line though, if you like her and you think she likes you then just ask.

Not gonna lie, I read this entire post thinking it was a guy, man I laughed hard.

That's fair. I certainly won't speak on behalf of all females. I hope there's a day when nice guys and girls finish first!
Good luck in your quest, Wookie!

Wow. Sounds like wide disagreement on whether or not he should ask her out during or after work.

For the record this thread is hilarious. The poll is actually adding to the humour.
Can we organise a CP date jihad? Maybe get a bunch of us to fake drown in the pool, Wookie saves us, and then on the way to the car after her shift a bunch of cpers attack the girl, and once again Wookie jumps in to save the day by scissor kicking everybody.

Judging by your suggestions in this thread you'll be luck if you don't end up in jail or at the bottom of the pool.

Funny you should mention asking women out at the gym because I was just reading an article the other day at the gym about this very topic. Apparantly it's the best place to do it because it's so easy to strike up a conversation or making an introduction (asking for a spot, etc.) plus you know that you share the same interests. The do warn about asking women out who go to the gym with as much make-up on as if they were going to the bar and are afraid to sweat (what the hell are you going to the gym for anyhow?)
|
Maybe I'm wrong on this, but I really don't go to the gym to socialize, and it bugs the hell out of me when two people are yaking away and taking a station that I want to use. Besides people looking good at the gym is a fantasy as they're usually sweating like pigs and smell like a piece of cheese thats been stuck in the fridge for 6 years.
There has to be a better place to meet girls.

Actually, that's where I swim and work out. I play rugby with one of the lifeguards there as well. Would you like some recon work done?

You've obviously never been to the "Ripped" class at Talisman have you? If I could meet 1% of the girls who do that class I'd die a happy, fulfilled man.

I'm not talking about socializing just easier to walk up to a girl and ask for a spot then to juts walk up and stand there awkwardly. I never went there to socialize and I find it funny when people spend more time working out their mouths then their bodies.
My point about the looks was at the gym you can tell what a girl really looks like without the make-up. If you think a girl is hot when she's sweatin up a storm wait till you take her out!

See, I'd agree with you, except I'm there a lot. Some friendly smiles do take place. You obviously might meet someone with something in common, and why not? If you are slightly sweaty, or with a tinge of smell, they're probably in the same situation.
There's gotta be a way in which it's appropriate, or that it can be done without being annoying, intrusive, or interrupting.
Just a quick hello, or something.. Then if it goes well, maybe chat a few times, then see where that could lead.
I agree about people yakking away for endless amounts of time monopolizing equipment though.
With talking to someone at the gym, if things are going poorly, you've got a good out.. "okay, well I should get back to work, I'll talk to you later"
