I tried to find the post in here (apologies if I missed it) where Kadri was actually a rumour. Is this actually something or just a concept debate. The only reference I have to the flames and leafs even talking is an off the cuff 960 (steinberg I believe) reference to trading at the draft being slow despite Toronto and Calgary looking earlier in the week to be working on something.

Last year the Stanley Cup championship St Louis Blues were paying over $10 m for their t#2 and #3 centres. There are lots of ways to make this work.

Lack of zero rumours? That’s not... never mind

Mike Stone was hurt most of the year, and when he returned, couldn’t crack the lineup, and has a cap hit of 3.5.

I do see challenges on the demand side of that equation.

Its why the old sentiment that you can never have too many good C's is so true.

You can move them to the wing with ease, its way harder to go the other way though.

Yeah, I don’t see any realistic trade scenarios for Stone this summer. I could see him start and play regularly in the first two months of the season, and then possibly moved to a team that needs defensive help.

Hmm, I had it on good authority the flames could just flip stone at the draft for a pick.

That's nothing.

I have read here that the Flames are on the cusp of a rebuild. The lack of Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan trade rumours is interesting.

Judging by some of the sentiment here as well, it also seems like the Flames finished in last place.

I'm amazed that the Flames regular season holds little to no currency for some. Thay was a major step forward for the team!
