Our first lines too soft. If it takes trading one of 13 or 23 to get someone who can play a bigger game in the top 6 I’m for it. But I really think that trading Brodie and a pick should get us that and we just split them up.

I’m pretty certain that earlier this year, the analysts/league were talking about letting a bit more goalie contact to be allowed so more goals were scored.

He's not looking like a second line centre because he can't contain the 2nd or 3rd best player in the league?

Calgary doesn’t have a true number 1 center. Monahan is better as a 2C and Backlund as a 3C

Yet you can't whisper at a player on a breakaway without it being a penalty

The Grand Optimist has surrendered, folks. Flames are done.
Thanks for everything this year, CP. Best community on the internet.
I'm heading off to get ####ed up.

This is a team lacking playoff experience it's a learning curve. Saw it with the Flames in the 80s, it's a process. Trades to improve and give experience in the 2nd season is important for 2020 cause Neal isnt it.

The team was also one of the hottest at the start and at end of the year. There is something to be said for that. Mid season they were having goalie issues which may have played a part in their overall point totals.
When you have guys like Nieto, Compher, Wilson outplaying our Flames, that is something to tip your hat too. Simply put, they are dominating the Flames.
