He hasn't looked interested since the all star break.

Imagine if he had Bennett competitive spirit, heart and wheels

Big goal at the end there though...potential game (series) chamber??

Take Gaudreau off the line though and what do you have? Can Monahan handle a double team and still create for his linemates?

We’re all down on Gaudreau in this series. But he’s given his teammates all kinds of tap ins over the course of his career here. Ask yourself how many easy goals #13 gets in return. Very few. His goals usually have a higher degree of difficulty.

Good thing the game isn't determined by panel and their thoughts.

Just because he’s a good host, it doesn’t mean we should put him on skates.

Carrying the puck into the middle of the ice trying to walk through all 5 avs on his own? That's on him, his line mates were skating out after playing defense.

What we need is a turning point, maybe just maybe the Brodie goal is just that. Something that just snaps things the other way. Along the lines of Bobrovsky making a big save in gm 1 down 3-0 in the early 2nd period. That (along with whatever Torts said in the break) flipped that game and series upside down and they never looked back.

NHL average on penalty shots is 30%

Some of you are acting like he missed a wide open net...guy fought off two players for a break away.

His linemates were breaking out of the defensive zone when he was starting that rush?

He missed the initial breakaway, then the penalty shot, then a clear-cut breakaway from the defensive blue line.

Just not very clutch in a must win, season-on-the-line game.

I really thought that should have been a PP not a penalty shot, and the later me with the benefit on hindsight agrees with the me that watched in real time.

I think Sean Monahan lacks fast twitch muscles in his lower body.
