World Cup, NCAA and World Jr are all different brands of hockey. The physicality and average size isn't even close to the NHL playoffs. World Cup may have had more skilled players but the heaviness and physical game isn't the same.

Johnny's jumping too early trying to do it all by himself. It's more him going Maverick than it is his team mates forgetting to hockey.

Monahan is invisible. He has to be injured (and for a couple months now). Looks like he is carrying an extra 50lbs on his back trying to skate. Very effortful.

This is the biggest problem the Flames have right now.
On offence, it's JG vs. the Avalanche. No other forward is driving offence.
Looks like Bennett is opening up space for Johnny though, so that's something. He's at least getting looks.
I'd like to see Ryan up with Bennett and Johnny in the second.

Not really. He's not exactly skating fast, and he's always going to be the guy to carry it in. That's his role. What's stopping his teammates from keeping up with the rush?
