There's a reason Sammy didn't do much that period, Burkie.

#Flames need to figure out a way to find some more icetime for LW Sam Bennett. Played team-low 2:36 in the first.

Probably because MacKinnon is out there every 2nd shift.

Peters was the anti GG for the entire regular season, changing lines, shortening the bench, etc.

This series he looks like GG, paralyzed into playing the lines that got them here, when it was actually the coaching and constant threat of being in the rafters that kept guys hungry.

Flames aren’t built for playoffs but they have to be better

I have disliked a lot about Peter's approach this offseason, and this is just the cherry on the top.

How in the flying #### does sam Bennett only get 2:36 ice time when he’s been arguably our only forward to give a #### yet this series

They are all not playing well
But Johnny has been a huge part of that
Let’s not let him off the hook

"Ooooh, they felt that hit in the rafters! Wait... why are there people in the rafters?"

I don't know if there is anything he can do. Nobody is stirring anything of note. Treliving just be just about ready to flip the table.

He's a quick guy when he wants to be, and he needs to use that to his advantage and get his damn feet moving.

True enough. When he is successful and confident he usual uses his speed to cut to the middle. He has done that maybe once. He seems very predictable and scared to go to the middle. In saying that tho it would help if he had anyone skating with him to pass or take some pressure.

Maybe he's just pacing him so that he can start double shifting him in the 2nd and 3rd.

Boy. The Flames are playing much better and are still underwater in terms of CF%. 19 CF for the Avs and 14 CF for the Flames at 5 v 5.

Crazy as there are many guys in his size range playing hard
That's what i'm seeing also. He's does this in the playoffs when the checking is tighter and the play is more physical.

He's on a line that's getting destroyed out there. Put him on another line. Maybe the top line.
