I felt they had trouble establishing rhythm all through about the first half of the game, and I think it was in part deliberate from Colorado to try keep things kind of scrambly and scrappy, and preferably a bit on the boring side too. Seems like a smart thing to do, especially in Calgary. The pressure was after all much more on the Flames.

It seemed to me that once the messy start to the second period was over, Flames almost went "okay, that's enough of that", and really the first thing they did to start taking over was just calm things down and get all four lines going.

I liked what I noticed Peters do during the game, although to be fair he had kind of a cushy job A goalie that lets nothing in, a lineup with no major defensive faultlines and 3 lines that can score, plus the Jankowski line which could theoretically start scoring in the playoffs.

Graham Delaet, pro golfer, is a huge fan.

Here’s an old thread about celebrity flames fans.

Francis was just insufferable in that 960 segment just now.

They can't move him back to writing columns fast enough.

He claimed on Twitter in 2017 he was rooting for the flames when the kings were eliminated. Not sure if that has carried over, but it seemed like more than just a "good luck".

If he’s a kings fan he hates the Ducks and we played Anaheim twice in three years so there’s a good chance it was enemy of my enemy is my friend type deal.

The word used was supporter, not fan.

Too much effort to dig up the tweet but 'supporter' is the impression you'd get from it. Being that we may very well face San Jose, another LA rival, it wouldn't surprise me if he'd be rooting for us again.

Though yeah, probably along the same lines as us supporting whichever team plays the oilers or canucks in a series (if they were ever to qualify again).

Also, I love how Rasmus is celebrating before it even goes in
Credit to how Ryan played that too. He knew what Mangipane would do and held cleared the road for him by holding up the defender
That lift of the Avs stick by Ryan was pure gold.

Shouldn't Doughty be at the back of the bus, or in the lavatory?

I've read this like 5 times and it doesn't make sense. Is he trying to say it's crazy to think our forward group is better than the Oilers?
