Sorry but I don’t agree with this at all. I can’t fault Rittich on any of the goals. He made the save on a breakaway and the D failed to clear the puck. That’s a hard save and no one would have blamed him if he let in the first shot.

Not to mention it was a questionable goal.

Even the Leafs are saying two lucky bounces and their goalie is standing on his head...

So its actually Leafs 2 - refs 1 - Flames 0

I think the officiating has been brutal and Andersson lucky.

God I hope our offense gets going. My worst nightmare is the Oilers staying hot and taking that last playoff spot while we trend the other way and draw them in the first round while we’re going in opposite directions.

The top line is getting some looks but I'm not seeing their dominate play from earlier this season. A lot of dump and not chase from them this last little bit, really feels like they're waiting for the game to come to them instead of pushing the pace.

If those flukey shots go at Andersson instead of at Rittich it is 3-0 Flames. The first two were absolutely unsavable, the third he stoned Marner on a breakaway and the D didn't clean up the puck. Not one of those goals is on Rittich.

Yeah, but I think if there was more of a distinct movement forward they would call it a kick, even if his blade never left the ice.

That 3rd goal is a good goal. No kicking motion. This is why you drive the net instead of doing stupid drop passes!
The only way that is waved off is if it is off Bennett.

Expecting to see the lines in the blender this period, would like to see Bennett or Tkachuk up on the top line and Lindholm back on the 2nd with Backs and Frolik

New rules say that you can direct, but not kick. Fans will always debate these now. Maybe they should not allow anything off a skate period, a black and white rule.

Game threads are interesting when you're not watching like me. So they have a crap game and get blown out? It doesn't really mean much in the grand scheme of things. And maybe they come back and win?

All I know is tonight isn't the end of the season. Get blown out........learn from it and get back at it tomorrow.

Exactly.

Frustrating, but no reason to overreact.
