I’m not too worried. We dominated the game up until Smith decided to think he was a better defenseman than Hanifin. That was just a completely demoralizing goal. Dubnyk was stellar but showed he is beatable. As long as Rittich is in net, we can win 4/7.

The problem with this "90% of the time it's a smart play" discussion for Smith is that that 90% benefit isn't a significant benefit. It's a mild luxury.
The problem is that half the time for the 10% brainfarts, it ends up in the back of the net.
Just be a goaltender.

I think the Flames would have won 2-1 if Rittich was in net. The Flames are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games against Minnesota, with only a 2.2 goals for average.
Sometimes you don't blame the goalie when your team only scores two goals.
But the Flames were pretty sound defensively except for two notable mistakes.
Dubnyk was much better tonight. There's not much else to say.

Still not liking our top line lately. They had a PP goal but were invisible 5v5, I think they are not playing with pace.

I've seen lots of people saying they'd love to play Minny in the 1st round, but they're an annoying team to play against. Flames are the superior team overall and would probably win that series, but Dubnyk could easily steal some games if he keeps playing like that. They wouldn't be an easy out by any means.
