Smith gifted the Wild 2 goals. Bennett miss also hurt. Flames could've easily had this one, but just one of those games. Smith still should not be the starter. Just not good enough. He had a good stretch recently, but lets be honest, those teams aren't exactly offensively potent teams... Rittich's turn in the net now. Losing like that on Iggy night is simply frustrating.
At least it screws the Oilers.

Smith made himself the backup for the rest of the season in my eyes. Ride Rittich and start him in the playoffs.
How many times can you objectively blame Smith for losses this season? It's unreal.

Smith cost the Flames that game. Silver lining, at least Rittich should be back in net. Don't care what his recent record says, Smith always a risk to him return back to beer league level to be trusted with any meaningful games.

Smith is entirely responsible for this loss. Should have been 2-1 Flames. Can we please be done with this recent Smith experiment? Rittich is clearly the better goalie (at least he has some semblance of rebound control).
