Watching that banner go up there, it suddenly hit me like a truck. He’s really done. There’s no more Iggy.

Obviously he was already done, but when you see a jersey going up to the rafters, it really hits home that he’s now officially transitioned to “franchise lore.” It brings a certain finality to the occasion...

This is probably the most disappointed I have been with that Game 7 since it actually happened...

He deserved a cup with this team.

Thanks for everything Jarome.

The Fan 960 should be ashamed of themselves. How awesome would it have been to hear a YEAHH BABYYYYY after Stajan's goal against the Canucks in Game 6.

Great tribute to Iggy!

Also helps the current players understand how much a Cup run means, and how badly the fans here want another one!

Lanny did an awesome job of narrating that video.

Must say, I did not expect to see Rene Bourque in Calgary ever again.

Everyone seemed to miss the Kipper fart joke.

Freaking goalies.

Vernon has to feel a bit invisible. Not referenced much compared to Lanny tonight.

Man them white and red shirts man. Saddledome has never looked this good since a typical playoff game.

My heart broke for him when he started talking about coming to terms with having played his last game in the NHL. It really highlights what winning a Stanley Cup really and truly means to these players. It makes me sad as a fan to think that a great player and person like him, even though he accomplished so much, never got that one last success. But also kudos to him for demonstrating what a humble person he is by realizing that for all the longing for a Stanley Cup win, being able to play in the NHL and have the opportunity to chase that dream was a win and a success in its own way.

Jarome Iginla was the very first (and for a very long time, only) player whose name I had on the back of my jersey. He is easily my favourite player of all time, and it's wonderful to see him recognized and celebrated by this franchise and his peers.

Thank you, Iggy!

He looked rather bored actually. When other seated players were clapping, his hands were clasped together. Not much expression on his face either.

Iginla is an absolute class act and legend.
Really wish the Flames organization would get over whatever the deal is with Fleury. He should have been there. Clearly Theo wishes Iginla nothing but the best (see twitter post). For this celebration in particular .. Lanny and Vernon just didn't cut it for me. Not having Theo, Kipper and Darryl there... felt like it was missing something.
