Thinking of starting a rumour that the Flames faked Iginla’s retirement, signed him at the trade deadline, and he is actually dressing tonight.

I heard from a source that the Flames faked Iginla's retirement, they signed him at the deadline, and he is actually dressing tonight!

(Mods PM me if you want my source to verify)

Any chance the retirement ceremony will be on Rogers Center ice or whatever? Only shows a CBC feed so I don't like the odds of it

Man, I would pay ungodly amounts of money and give up my first-born just to see Iggy warm up with the team in a practice jersey. This is the kind of team he always deserved but never had.

I thought about this myself! Why not let him warm up with the club? All he needs is a jersey, a stick and a pair of skates!

Does anyone know if the CBC broadcast in Calgary is going to break away from the Toronto game to carry the Iginla ceremony or if it will only be carried on the Sportsnet cable channels?

According to the guide just SNW but that's been wrong before

2014 Bruins were as good as this team fwiw. That Lucic - Krejci - Iginla line was arguably the best in the league too.

But i get what you're saying. Calgary never really put it together for his prime. Langkow's injury was a huge part of that IMO.

Great vid from Steven Brunt with Iggy as the centerpiece for tonight.

While the wife tear up at The Notebook, My Girl and those kinds of movies, this is the stuff that gets me a little bit misty eyed.
