Its crazy that out of all these trades he hasn’t gotten one blue chip prospect. The Karlsson trade still baffles me, such an awful trade

I think Dorion is an idiot but the Karlsson deal had a pretty good return, though it is a lot of quantity over quality.
Traded from Ottawa Senators with Francis Perron to San Jose Sharks for Dylan DeMelo, Chris Tierney, Rudolfs Balcers, Josh Norris, round 2 pick in the 2019 draft, conditional round 1 pick in the 2020 draft, conditional round 2 pick in the 2021 draft and conditional round 1 pick in the 2022 draft

I think the naivety is more on the readers than reporters. Leslie reported a quote (fact), but if people can't take it in context (3 hours to go, posturing, etc) that's on them.
