Don’t underestimate Ottawa playing for pride since they don’t have their first rounder.

Even in this “slump” the flames last 10 games would’ve been one of the best stretches of the season for the Oil.

I'd love for them to draft top 3. Then we sit and watch them try to figure out the cap issues again once that ELC is over.

i was hoping for a solid year from Pulijarvi as it would have meant a big contract for a team that has no space. But him being awful is still pretty good.

Their bouncing of Frankenberry between the NHL and AHL like a beachball is just sad. That's not how you develop guys. You don't send them down then several games later say "he's put up a few points, he's definitely got it all figured out now!" just to watch him fizzle out again. They keep picking the fruit before it ripens. Pretty sure they'll never give those higher picked players that clearly aren't ready the solid time on the farm that they need, and it's great.

I'm willing to bet that if they demote him to the AHL, its the last time you will see him in an Oilers uniform.

Maybe they just want a hobbit in the line-up. Because one does not just simply walk into the playoffs.

Here's my dilemma with NHL TV, I love to watch the oilers for comedy purposes, but in order to see their games quickly and easily I have to mark them as "favorites". They certainly aren't my favorites. I think I can't mark them as favorite just on principle.

Have Oilers fans openly started rooting for losses yet? It’s like a comfy old pair of jeans for those fans. They’ve embraced that attitude for so long it just feels right for them at this point. I haven’t heard much of it yet but I’m sure we’re close.

McDavid playing 25+ minutes a game is going to come back and bite the oilers later in his career.

Conversely, the lack of playoff games really makes up for it

It didn’t look too bad though! Gagne the most dangerous Oiler on the ice, he hasn’t had a chance to absorb all the “no-good” yet...give it time

Am I the only one who finds Drew Remenda creepy when he refers to the players by their first name?
