With all the hype he generates the return for McDavid in a trade will be underwhelming.

As good as he is, how many NHL GMs are looking at what is happening in Edmonton right now and second-guessing the level of improvement McDavid could provide to their own team? At what cost?

The pressure he is under and the fact the ####show really has little to do with him and because he signed a deal that was offered to him...well its gotta be soul sucking at times.

It's not like the Oilers offered him $100M out of the blue. That was a negotiated amount. He doesn't get to say - "Hey, I just signed what they offered." He should be held accountable given he's handicapped the team and frankly the league with that monster contract.

And that's the thing. If this really was an example of #leadership, McDavid would have dragged his teammates out there with him.

It's easy to claim to be a leader when you don't expect anyone to follow you.

I listened to a fair amount if it on phone app, and I take back any complaints I have about Fan960. What a brutal show. Their gaps of silence would make Jim Rome blush. I swear one of them was like 10 seconds. I thought my app shut down. Those guys are the Oilers of radio hosts.
