They are just continuing on in the one started after their last loss. No new loss PGT for them.

Agree with most here. Weird game. Flames weren't the better of the two teams yet should have won 6-2 but still got the win regardless. None the less good to get the break with a win and doing it in OT adds some punch. Enjoy the break, you've earned it!

That's their PGT. Not an ATL.

Feel bad for Ferland, hope he didn't rush back for this game and prolong the injury.

While he might be too much for a trade deadline acquisition, I wonder if he would take a discount (3.0ish?) to come back to Calgary as a UFA. Good Friends, team helped him get sober, likes the city...

Huh? Everybody agrees that the Flames did not play that well this game. You're saying we should've been up 4-1?? Canes dominated possession for the first 2 periods. Flames did manage a lot of good rush chances, but the first produces more consistent results.

Game Takes:
Flames 3 Canes 2 OT

- not a good effort from the Flames until late
- Backlund and Neal click
- Rittich solid
- point streaks come to an end

I didn’t really see it that way.

In all situations, Hurricanes had 29 scoring chances and 11 high danger chances. At least 2 posts I can think of.

Flames had 20 scoring chances and 10 high danger chances.

5 on 5 was less flattering to the Flames.

Hurricanes had been playing well and I’m not surprised they gave Flames all they could handle. Flames have better finish though and they won the goalie battle. And when game was on the line, Flames were excellent even though they lost the 3rd period.

Oh, derp. That's my reading comprehension for you. Yeah, their current ATL is standing at 6 pages, with no updates. Looks like they are all talking about firing Chia.

Yes, the Flames didn't play well.

But I don't think all the Carolina shots amounted to much through 40. The Flames had some Grade A chances that didn't go in (Neal and Gio) and could have been up 4-1 after 40.

High danger scoring chances are still just shots from a certain area. It's not like Rittich was making huge saves left and right.

When you win, act like you’ve been there before. When your rival loses, give it to them from all angles.

I missed the first period and a bit. Were Ferland/Hamilton cheered hard? I heard there was a video for them?

I thought he was pretty good. High danger are more than just shots from a certain area, but an area defined as where most goals come from.

I do see what you’re saying, but I thought Carolina carried the play for like no stretches and had good chances. How many posts?

Flames with great chances too resulting from less pressure but nice plays. Until the last half of the third.

Is Reg his anointed name like Bev or does someone actually know him?

Edit: or did someone lip read from his first spotlight of fame with the 'shove it'?
