Agree, I prefer Lomberg or Quine for that role. Mangiapane I want him to make the next step but I just don't think he is there yet.

Eric Francis does not understand the position of goaltender at all.

In my mind, few guys in the Flames' system are less suited to the NHL than Mangiapane.

Lomberg is one of them, though. No thanks.

What's your point? There are three guys out there busting their balls keeping the Wings on the outside. They give them that shot every time. Did you see Lindholm's face afterwards? There's been some piling on with Smith but that's a bad goal. He lets the team down way way too often.

Bad goal for sure.

He did not “flounder at every single puck”. Made some big saves, actually.

Embellish much?

Well, all he really said was that Smith is letting in too many shots that trickle through him in and in. I’m not a Francis fan at all, but he’s right. Those shots aren’t suppose to go in an average NHL goaltender. He’s giving that up far too frequently this season.

Rittich’s played about the same amont of games and I can’t remember him giving one of those this season.

Smith had a decent period until the goal. It was 5 on 3 but not really a 5 on 3 type goal. Should have had it. Let's see what happens now.

You call them big saves, I would aay not catching a puck clean and giving up a rebound on 90% of shots you face is not good. How many shots has he not been scrambling for the puck in his legs /arms after the initial stop tonight?

I count like 4

Not much sustained for Calgary. I predict Peters will shuffle the deck soon.

More embellishment with the addition of some bad math. Continue on.

Agreed.

Maybe they are saving themselves for Edmonton tomorrow night?
