I'd rather see Quine, or Dube, or Lazar even than Mangiapane.

He's blown about 20 good chances.

flames not doing jack all outside of tkachuk getting 2 chances is the reason they're down. margin against this red wings team shouldn't be this thin

Seriously, is every shooter gunning for the body on Smith? I’ve been watching closely for a while and players are specifically targeting Smith between the arms. It’s almost like a league wide initiative or something.

Smith should be working on changing his stance or form because that weakness is being exposed over and over and over.

It’s tough to see a puck go through the goalie but there a few Flames that had a poor period. CGY needs to move the puck quicker and start executing. Some great saves so hopefully the team can elevate their game. Get that tempo up and get in a rhythm.

Totally agree. He just doesn't seem to have NHL-calibre finish. Hell, even Spencer Foo seemed to have a better nose for the net in his brief stint last year.

We need to win this game. The Oiler's play us like its Custer's Last Stand and they will be ejected from the league when ever we come around.

No intensity to this game.

And Mangiapane is little better than a warm body out there. I've never been impressed

Yeah I think Eat Bread will be a player but I think he's better suited to play with the Heat this season.

Seems more and more like he’s one of those guys that will be a big time producer in the ahl but can’t do it at the next level

He’s not strong enough and doesn’t have the skill of Johnny to make up for it. Lazar should be in that spot.

I agree, I think Dube brings much more, I think we see Lazar after the trade deadline if he isn't thrown in as a sweetner to a deal

Why can’t mike smith control a rebound?

I literally do not understand why he flounders at every single puck
