Spoiler!

Wow what an exciting game! Best 8-5 win ever! Sharks vs Flames games are always my favourite Flames' games of the season. This one didn't disappoint! The hate runs deep between these 2 teams this season. Great to see.

What can you say about Johnny Gaudreau. He provides such a turbocharge to the offence of the team. A career night with 5 points. When he signed his deal I knew it was going to be great value. But I almost feel bad for the guy. Even at 6.75/yr, he's still well underpaid. He's playing like a $10M guy right now.

Sean Monahan with 5 assist tonight! Where did that come from?

3M line needs to stick together for a bit. Great comeback game by Frolik, after some drama earlier on. The guy can contribute and wants to win.

The Flames D is so beautiful to watch on the transition. It's seamless, effortless and quick. The team is lucky to have a weapon like that on the backend. I don't think there's many teams in the entire league whose #1-8 D across the board can move the puck like the Flames. Still blown my mind we've had 3 rookies on the bottom pair, and they are all amazing to watch.

Sam Bennett...he hits, he fights, he chirps. He gets screwed over on goal calls more then any player I've ever seen. But he still finds ways to contribute all over the ice. Fun player to watch.

And lastly, it must have felt gooooood for James Neal to finally pot one . I absolutely LOVED the cheer he got. Goosebumps! That had to feel good, and good on the fans for acknowledging it. Here's hoping he starts to get a few more.

Just an auto review, not an auto suspension.

So the actions of Bennett, Tkachuk, Kane and Goodrow will all be reviewed for misconducts late in the game.

My guess is nobody gets anything

I'm not sure exactly what Chucky did tonight but the Sharks were out of their minds.
A "veteran" team should not get rattled like that...it was awesome !
Love how Hathaway got in the way when Kane came in with his gloves dropped.

How about that first line WHOA !

The game cut out pretty quickly on NHL.tv, who were the 3 stars?

If that Bennett interference is a suspension then Dumba should have gotten several games for his hit on Backlund. Christ

Fun fact: If the Oilers were on a 6 game winning streak instead of 6 game losing streak the Flames would still be ahead of them. It's a moot point however as they are on a 6 game losing streak.

The game sheet shows both Goodrow and Bennett being given Match Penalties at the end: http://www.nhl.com/scores/htmlreport...9/GS020609.HTM

I believe those result in an automatic hearing and suspension until they can be heard. I can't see those sticking. There was nothing there that warrants a match penalty.

Think its safe to say a flames player will be suspended out of this and the sharks will get a round of applause from the NHL.

Guessing Prout and Peluso will be dressed next time these teams meet. That's not really a good thing though.

Sharks will be embarrassed after that one. The next time these two teams play it will be really something.

Great game! Awesome way to end the year.

Bad officiating almost wrecked it. How they could miss the Dell spear, along with Kanes shenanigans is beyond me.

I actually wouldn't mind that. Handle some things on the ice and all.

Say goodbye to 2018 with a goal from #18. Say hello to 2019 with 2 goals from #19.

Only Bennett has a match penalty. Auto suspension unless they overturn.
