He’s being misused. Put him in a position for one timers. Why have Neal stand in front of the net on PP2 with Ryan shooting. And also why force Neal to crash net, he’s always been a poacher to steal a soccer term, just let him float high slot / circles and rip it
Kinda feels like peters wasn’t really sold on Neal to start with and despite letting him go in the shootout it just ain’t working
Maybe because defensively he sucks? Watch the two goals scored against his line tonight. First goal, standing around in LA LA land not offering an outlet on their forcheck. Next goal indecisive with the Puck and panicked and threw it into our own corner instead of down the ice. There is no doubt he is worse than Troy Brouwer right now. Sad. Oh well. He got paid.

Jon Cooper meeting with the media as Bill Peters walked by to his press conference. Peters stopped to shake Coopers hand. Coopers response “let’s do it again”
A fantastic game tonight not lost on the coaches.

I love that Peters threw Neal out there for the shoot out. It would have been soooo good for him if he won the game there. Too bad it didn’t work out but I appreciate the attempt.
Yes! Great call by Peters. This is a clear indication of a great coach. The Neal hate is dumb in my opinion, the guy has been to the cup final two years in a row. He's probably tired as ####. He'll find his game, and I think it's clear we're better with him than without him. This "Neal is the worst" BS is beyond pathetic, we just took the best team in the league to a shootout! Peters is a great coach.

That was the most entertaining game I've been able to watch in a long time. The Flames played well and hung around with the top team in the league. Well done!
Also... I hate shootouts so very much. Just give us more of that overtime action.

Just ridiculous. The 4th goal, there's a player skating directly at him from the neutral zone, and any attempt to direct the puck out of the zone gets stolen by that guy immediately and can walk right in. Neal is standing still as he had to be, waiting for the puck to land. Dumping it in the corner was the only safe play and anything else by any player would be stupid.

Agreed. Giving Neal any boost to get him going and showing the confidence in him to be the difference maker will pay off. My guess is most of his teammates are pulling for Neal too, and thats all that matters.
Of course, much to the dismay of the expert fans and psychologists who have written him off.

How is it clear? He has 7 points in 34 games a -9 and doesn't do much of anything out there. He's slow, can't hit the net. I'd love for him to get out of his funk but right now the guy is awful.
