For a player who's obviously struggled with confidence and results this season and who got bronx cheered at home tonight? I'm just saying it opens the door that's all.
Once again, read the dozen plus posts in this thread that are mentioning it. It's clearly on a portion of the fanbases mind's.
I know what you're getting at, but taking any game thread comments as confirmation of proof of logical, grounded, rational thoughts from posters, wouldn't hold up very well.

This. Someone mentioned that Smith plays better when he faces a lot of shots. Well in many of those games the Flames won, the play was rarely in Smith's end for him to face shots.
He came up with some timely saves but that is expected of goalies. You have to make big saves too, not just the easy ones.
So what did he have to do in those games to be praiseworthy? He is expected to make all the saves apparently.

Final word goes to Bill Peters after a wild one at the Dome. "I don’t think I’ve been a part of something like that. Not that I remember anyways so, exciting game. Good for the fans." #Flames with another comeback win... 7 to be precise

- Top line dominates late finish
- Smith struggles and then hurt?
- Dramatic comeback is best of the seven this year in the third
- Rasmus 1st NHL goal
- Gaudreau goes protocol but returns with three points

Czarnik with only 3 minutes 5 on 5 is so crazy. If he weren't on the PP you'd have to think he'd be seeing more time in the press box.
He was average...which is the best stretch of his season
sorry, some of us have higher expectations and aspirations. Guy has a .888 save percentage on the top team in the west.
You must be that tier 1 fan eh? Talking down to others like you do.
Nobody likes whats happening in net right now. But to be a constant black cloud over it all the time is nauseating and quite frankly lame. Smiths wins don't count because they don't meet your lofty expectations. Neat. Heard and acknowledged. Still doesn't negate the fact he's still 6-0 before tonights game. Who flipping cares how the W's come as long as they come.
Personally, I cannot wait until the Flames have a whole new set of goalies.
I have loved watching about every game with you all this year, and I have loved the silly superstitions, dogs, frogs, turtles, cars- whatever.
BUT- On a serious note- A poster referring to the idea that they are happy a player is hurt and it's an 'upside' is absolutely sickening to me.
Our guys know and accept that they are going to get slaughtered when they screw up- they deal with the fans being angry- they deal with the fans wanting them traded- it's part of the position of being a famous athlete. However- NONE OF THEM should have to deal with fans being happy if they are hurt. That's classless, trashy, uncalled for and absolutely abhorrent. Think if it were your own child other people were speaking about, and how much that would hurt.
I am not a mod and I don't have any say here, but personally, I don't ever want to see that Sh*t again. I won't call you out, but you should be ashamed of yourself.
We are not savages. We don't wish others hurt, injured, or worse in any situation- especially members of our OWN team.
Rant over.
