I enjoy hometown hockey. It's interesting to hear stories about the game from every corner of the country.

Hometown hockey is awful.
Checked this thread quickly and it’s not much better
I know Ryan turned it over but did not like the D coverage by Brodie and Andersson on the goal
Carry on bitching about Bennett, Ryan and Bob Cole

What garbage, does anyone care about who Connor’s dad had dinner with and how great conversation was?
BoA and they can’t come up with something better for intermission? Can’t wait to see what they have for second intermission...

"They called me a different name err day. Mr. Mcnugget, Mr bigmac, Mr McDad, Mr Mcflurry, Mr McChicken. The we compared which of our sons earns the most money. It was the best dad's trip ever because my son is Connor mcdavid and that made me, by extension, the captain of the father's trip"

The stories are like 90% exactly the same and not all that interesting.

Hometown Hockey always has been like this.
Nice to have a weekly game, even if it’s a different format. Same people bitching about this talk about how Sportsnet not doing anything different.

Flames look tired.
That 3 on 1 in the first minute set the tone - lazy and sloppy. And they never got anything going after that.

I like the concept of pushing all of the Nostalgia to Sunday night and get all of it off of HNIC. Don, Ron, Bob Cole, and draping the game in Canadian Identity should all be confined into Hometown Hockey then we can move on to better things for Saturday.
Get coaches corner off of Saturday.

Last night, at home with last change, it made sense to keep the top line together.
But tonight, without last change, it is worth considering. Problem is that almost no one is going. Until they start skating and playing with urgency, it won't matter what line combinations they use.

Doubt that's the reason, PEI and Newfoundland have a province between them

I only like hometown hockey when it's from Canmore or Airdrie or Radium or Invermere or Cranbrook or something like that
