Welp, Wideman should solve the issue of their poor passing defense...

Not even a question, always B. Anything can happen in the playoffs, if you have the chance to eliminate Edmonton in one game you do it without hesitation
You play to win. Always. And let come what may.
Gamesmanship like that always has a habit of angering the hockey gods.
Besides, the Oil have had every advantage and gotten every shred of luck for years and it hasnt helped them. They dont need help at failing, its literally what they do best.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
Never count out the Ducks. They will make the playoffs as they always start slow only to have one of the best records in the league in the 2nd half of the season.
Like Ashasx said, they have terrible advanced stats and Gibson is the only reason they’re currently keeping their head above water. Gibson might be good enough to drag the team to the playoffs but the Ducks are being outplayed by the opposition on a fairly consistent basis, if Gibson started to falter the losses could pile up.

I just wanted to illustrate why Oilers fans are the dumbest in the league by a longshot. These gems were from HF Oilers regarding the Flames vs Jets game the other night;
In response to the Jets goal called back which was pretty black and white in regards to the rules;

Why in the world does this league bend over backwards for the Flames?

It's like ever since Wideman literally ended that one linseman's career, the refs are petrified one of them will do it again and call everything their way.
Even worse is that these posts were liked so it's basically a circle jerk of the clueless.
Yep that right. The league is bending backwards for the Flames by giving the Oilers two cup cake schedules in the past three years and the officials are petrified to call anything on the Flames. I guess the sketchy officiating in the last Flames vs Ducks playoff series post-Wideman incident was the NHL bending backwards for the Flames or the fact that the Flames went from least penalized team pre-Widman incident to most penalized team for well over a season after the incident. Man it's astonishing how ignorant these guys are.
Things get even more weird as one guy is trying to make a case the Flames have no depth because four of their players have 60% of their goals ignoring the fact that the Flames are the only team in the league with five players at 20 points or more. One guy with some brain cells actually chimed in to correct him and the rest of dumb & dumber piled on him for bringing logic and truth to the discussion. It's like the Twilight Zone over there where everything right is considered wrong and everything wrong considered right.
I know there are a few good Oilers fans here and they aren't all this bad but they are starting to give Riders fans a run for their money.

I saw that too. One somewhat realistic poster pointing out that actually the Flames do have good depth and was attacked mercilessly. That’s the problem with Edmonton, even the ones that have a clue about hockey are drowned out by the morons screaming nonsense.

Flames and Oilers schedules are pretty similar. The biggest difference is the back-to-backs. The Oilers have had the advantage to date. Oh, and the Oilers do naturally have a tougher schedule than every other team in the NHL - they don't get to play the Edmonton Oilers.
Quoting this, as I think it's awesome and went somewhat under the radar!
