I hate to say it but guys like Jankowski, Dube, and Ryan have a lot less value against the Oilers than against most other teams. Tre can’t build a team around facing the Oilers, but it sure makes me miss Engelland and Ferland.

And I'm sure to be in the minority but I don't really love how Tkachuk played that with Kassian. Some guys can turtle when the other guy starts throwing 'em, but with how Tkachuk plays that really isn't what he should be doing. Yes he oaoded him into a double minor but it is a long season.
Kassian is an animal so there is that.

I think Tkachuk banged his head on the ice when Draisaitl slew footed him. In any event why play Kassian's game? CGY needs to make some plays and generate chances.

Kassian knocked Tkachuk's helmet off, and knocked Tkachuk on the ice. Tkachuk was just protecting his head. I don't have any problem with that.

He talked about having guys in the same weight class, so perhaps someone like Peluso or Prout would be the guys Burke would insert if he had a say.

So we need to dress terrible goons because they do? Flames got a 4 min PP because of that moron...make them pay

Burke is wrong, I will take suckering Kassian into a triple minor all night long. Dress Peluso and he plays 5 minutes, gets in a meaningless scrap with Kassian. I'd rather see Kassian play all night.

What do you mean? Lucic can't skate, Kassian just handed the Flames a 4 minute powerplay.
If the Flames lose this game, it won't have anything to do with grit. It will because we couldn't take advantage of the opportunities their bad players gave us.
Why would we want to dress our own?

Burke is right about Calgary getting pushed around. They will get pushed around for the next 40 minutes because they are a bunch of pussies most of the time.

So you don't fight the goon an take a 4 min PP
What I'm more worried about is the guy that can throw you through the boards and end up on the scoresheet

I agree with Burke on his sentiments. If you are going to play a tough and physical game with a lineup like the Oilers have (Lucic, Kassian, Nurse, Khaira), you better have some guys that won't shy away from it. Or it'll be a long night. The flames PP isn't deadly enough to deter.
Bennett is the only one who fits that mold. Harmonic can't with his injury. Tkachuk although a pest isn't that kind of player. He is too valuable.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Tkachuk already got hauled out of the game by concussion spotters. Not risking that again getting into it with Kassian.

Flames should keep hitting McD whenever they can.

Hard to judge. Maybe Lindholm could have challenged Chaisson more once he got in tight? Not much time to do that but he was able to come across the crease which I guess you'd rather not on a 2 - 1.
Still set up by a weak pass from Gaudreau and a horrible decision by Gio.
