Sam Bennett is doing just fine. James Neal needs to butter up his grease stick though and start swinging. This is precisely the type of game he can use to re-engage.

Hrudey didn't like the way Lindholm or Rittich played the 2 on 1.
And I'm sure to be in the minority but I don't really love how Tkachuk played that with Kassian. Some guys can turtle when the other guy starts throwing 'em, but with how Tkachuk plays that really isn't what he should be doing. Yes he oaoded him into a double minor but it is a long season.
Kassian is an animal so there is that.

Who are you worried about Burke?
First time I've said this, but I'm glad he's gone.

Love Burke, wonder if he would have forced a different lineup if he was still here

I don't know. Lindholm took away the pass properly. was it the right play? hindsight says no but you have to trust your goalie to take care of the shooter.

Loved Backlund crushing McDavid.
When I've made my videos I noticed Backlund has actually hit him hard several times, 4 or 5 now. Nobody else seems to even when he's vulnerable.

I think we need to take the pads off Mike smith and dress him as a winger.
The
Burke is 100% right. We don't have the right guys dressed.

At least the Burke segment is Flames-centric

Burke is absolutely correct. If you are a skill team, if a team roughs it up, make em pay on the pp/scoreboard.
Flames have no tough guys, and have no real scoring skill outside 4 players.
Flawed roster.

He's kinda right. Flames don't have anyone dressed that is in the same weight class as guys like Kassian and Lucic. And if you're going to play this style you would hope to have a couple knuckleheads to match up with.

Mesmerized by Burke's hair. What is going on above his left ear? Is it the same on the other side?

Wonderful human being doesn't win you games. I get these decisions are tough when you're looking a man in the eye. But gawd dang it you gotta cut the cord at a line drawn in the sand. IMO if they're giving him that much leash to work it out, then I don't see nothing happening until after the ASG break.
