Sliver lining takes pressure off Neal as scapegoat?

I hope Smith's time with the Flames is over.

If the goal was on the defense or forwards, the Flames might have a chance to comeback but the way things work in hockey, because it was an ugly goal allowed by Smith, I'm guessing the game ends with a whimper.

What a dumb play by Backs. I get it though; we've been the better team through most of the game, and they pull ahead on a softie, then just continue to talk all the ####.

I think Peters screwed himself with how he handled the goalies. He's shown he doesn't have confidence in Rittich. Now if Rittich falters, where do you go?

He should have went with the hot hand, nobody would have blamed him, he ends up looking like an idiot for going with Smith.

Probably best if they don't come back from this one... don't give the coaches any excuse to play Smith again.

I can't understand why. Brad must know that if this isn't a playoff team his job is in danger. Why throw away points like this?

But you gotta do what's best for the team, and right now that is giving the reigns to Rittich. Let's see what he can do with a good stretch of games.
I don' feel bad for him at all. I feel bad fo the rest of the Flames who come to play and put in a good effort only to be let down consistently be their goalie.
