Damn I really feel bad for Mike Smith. Came to town on fire for finally having a chance to make a difference in a passionate market. Was the Flames MVP up until his injury last year. Has just as much drive and want to win than anybody.
And then this sharp decline. Just can't get over the mental hurdle, and it just keeps getting worse.
But you gotta do what's best for the team, and right now that is giving the reigns to Rittich. Let's see what he can do with a good stretch of games.
