I think you’ve gotta go with rittich. This is a long season and to be fair smith won’t be here next year, gotta see what you have. If smith is a mature professional he will take it in stride, doesn’t have to like it but he has to suck it up

Just got back from the game..

The 3M line was completely lights out tonight along with our top pairing Brodano.

That Avs trio of Landeskog-Mackinnon-Rantenen were all leading the league in +/- and they each ended the game -3.

Brutal task shutting them down and they did it with flying colours. Incredible performance

Flames have entered the third period trailing g 10 times. They have 9 points in those 10 games.

4 wins when trailing entering the third period. Only 1 other team in the league has more than 1. Anaheim has 2 (had a chance to make it 3 in the shootout today).

Interesting to hear peters wants to put Neal and thachuk together. Which means either Frolik drops down or Bennett to centre

I was listening to the game until then end of the second period, and then I did a few things around the house without the game on. I sat down at the computer to check what the final was and I think my heart stopped. I refreshed the browser twice, laughed out loud, then came here and read the GT thread from the end of the second intermission.

Finally caught up now - and dayum... I missed a great period! Keep on keeping on with the frogs and dogs everyone.

Congratulations Yamer, and I wish you great success in your new job.

Amazing game, Go Flames!
Strawman was not precise. I agree. But pointing to how many points they have when they have played more games than anyone else is blue sky stuff. That was my point. As was the fact that there are 70 games left and we have serious goaltending concerns.

The Neal goal shows what he can do with a decent pass and a clear shot. It doesn't have to be Gaudreau, just someone who can see him heading for the soft spots. Backlund could do it. Probably Lindholm too. Jankowski hasn't been able to.
