Whenever I'm feeling especially down, I remember that Edmonton could've taken Matthew Tkachuk 4th overall, and then I don't feel so bad.

Give them time. They always deliver.

But we dont want them dead last in the standings and going for #1 overall #5.

Edmonton needs to trade this kid with the expectation that you're not getting much back, because frankly right now at the end of the year when he hits the end of his deal, he'll be heading back to Europe.

BTW, just to show how um average the KHL is, Yak has 12 points and 7 goals in 15 games over there.

That's a lot worse than average.

Spector is such an idiot, now he’s saying that the Coilers are winning so much that it is causing lineup issues! He should be saying that they are lucky to be winning and should be enjoying while it lasts because it’s going to end sooner rather than later. I don’t know how many goal posts their opponents have hit but Talbot should be taking them out for dinner after every game!

Arguably you can spin that the other way, they have not lost a one goal regulation game yet this season, and only once in OT.

3 wins since they looked like a lead ball chained to McDavid's foot. Yep, it might never end..

I guess for the Oilers that must feel like a 10 game streak.

The Oilers are ...

24th in shot attempts for
23rd in scoring chances for
26th in high danger chances for
20th in shot attempts against
15th in scoring chances against
4th in high danger chances against

The last one is a good sign, the rest doesn't suggest 6-3-1 is a likely trend to continue.

That's what I was saying last year when the Oilers had very good underlying stats to start the season.

It never swung back the other way.

The Oilers fancy stats should probably improve some when they stop playing exclusively top five NHL clubs.

Oilers' Kassian says he didn't request trade
https://www.tsn.ca/oilers-kassian-sa...rade-1.1200902

What!? You mean the honor of playing with McDavid isn't enough to stay in Edmonton?

Because nobody cares if a ~20 point $2M plugger asks for anything?

Just to update everyone with the latest news: Connor McDavid is again sick thus explaining his less than otherworldly play this past week. But watch out NHL because when in a month or so he recovers from his myriad of diseases and illness he will rip the NHL a new one

Milan Lucic. 2 goals in last 56 games. Imagine how bad it would be if he hadn't worked on his speed all summer.

God, I hate the ####in Oilers.

Just watched McDavid score another unreal goal. I’ll never recover from the bull#### that is the Oilers winning that lottery. I was at a wedding at a resort in Costa Rica when I found out. Snuck back to my room (only place with wifi) to check and see where he would end up (Buffalo or Phoenix probably) only to learn the Oilers had screwed the entire league once again.

Ruined the rest of the night.
