The ref behind the net is watching the puck on the net, not blowing the whistle...then we get a whistle when the puck is halfway up the ice?

That was probably the worst game I’ve seen Gio play in person.

The fans were super salty in the arena. I forgot how much fun it was to laugh at people being idiots in person. "That was totally in the net!" ... see's the replay, "Yep it went in the net, WTF refs!?"
That Gio call was ultra-soft as well, refs owe Smith a shutout. Talk about game management.
Keep pissing off the hockey gods, because karma is a bitch.

IMO, Gio is a top 10- 15 D in the NHL every single night.
Tonight was not an exception.

Anyways, to clarify I have no issues with what he is saying. But the league might, based on prior fines for targeting officials with post game comments, even if his words are quite mild.
|
The original premise was an attempt at a fun tongue in cheek comment to support the coach speaking out against the reffing. I get that it was lame but damn, I didn’t expect it would call in the fun police.

Sean Monahan 2018-2019 Tap In Count: 4
I wasn't able to watch this one but it's awesome that the team seems to be out of their low effort slump. Time to make up some ground.

I didn’t say he played badly. Just didn’t look like the flawless Giordano I’m used too. And yeah that penalty was ridiculous. But there were weak calls both ways.
Team locked it down though. Overall looked like a well oiled machine.

Working late, didn't see the game.
Can someone, please, explain what happened there that got Peters (and everyone here) so riled up? Wrong call? Bad call? What has actually happened?

Yeah I agree. And he didn’t look 100%.
I thought this was all obviously implied by them coasting to a win and Gio leading in on ice minute. But apparently this place is too touchy.

Hes had bad games before. This isn't one of them. It's not being touchy it's just saying something is objectively wrong

Alright then.
Please expand for me on how I’ve personally viewed worse games by Gio. And you said “bad game” which isn’t what I said. And I’d argue I’ve never seen a “bad game” by Gio at all.
Kick rocks.

Scoring Winger

Quote:
85.2 Puck Unplayable - When the puck becomes lodged in the netting on the outside of either goal so as to make it unplayable, or if it is "frozen" between opposing players intentionally or otherwise, the Referee shall stop the play. The puck may be played off the goal netting by either team. However, should the puck remain on the goal netting for more than three (3) seconds, play shall be stopped. Should the goalkeeper use his stick or glove to freeze the puck on the back of the net or should a defending player shield an attacking player from playing the puck off the back of the net, the face-off shall take place at one of the face-off spots in the defending zone.
|
Didn't seem like three seconds, and if it was, why the #### didn't they blow it when it was stuck in the mesh, rather than when they are halfway down the ice with the puck.
