Feel bad for Monahan but I think this needs a caption...

The league has a low threshold to fine coaches for criticism of the officials. I think he is flirting with the line here. I agree with what he’s doing, but am also expecting a fine.

Then take the fine. I never complain about the refs, but that display tonight was embarrassing for the league.

That Leafs no goal was hilarious. Shame the officials blew it down, would have been a top 10 fail for the season.

Was that the one where Brodie chipped it down the ice and the linesman waited until it was clear that the puck wasn’t going to cross the line to waive it off or another one?

The Toronto defenceman stopped skating for the puck and I was wondering why the linesman wasn’t waiving it off.

If he started a Go Fund Me to pay that fine and I'll toss in $20 bucks

Mark Masters tweeted a quote from Kadri (cant embed):

“Their gaps were great. I mean, right on top of our guys. You know, coming through the neutral zone just seemed like it would be a pain in the ass every time. They made it tough on us & certainly congested the neutral zone area & that was the difference”

I’m sure that’s where Peters would direct. Think for a second.

That's because Lindholm eats his opponents' dreams, one soul-crushingly beautiful goal at a time.

Also Bill Peters is a gem. The refs have gotten away with slighting the Flames on a number of nights since the Wideman incident with only Gulutzan's blank stares to deal with and it's about time they expect to be called out publicly for it when they pull that crap on us.

What’s the point of this post? It has nothing to do with the game.
I’d say Stone is a decent 6/7 to rotate in if needed, and for injury purposes.
Hopefully he’s not needed, but is good to have.

Without that 5 on 3 the Leafs pull the goalie earlier and the Flames can ice the puck on the PK. Smith scores.

The original premise was that our well paid coach is going to set up a GoFundMe page to pay off a fine. That ain’t happening altogether!

Anyways, to clarify I have no issues with what he is saying. But the league might, based on prior fines for targeting officials with post game comments, even if his words are quite mild.
