The NHL is hard without a above average 1c.

LOL. He's been around the puck all night, has had a couple good chances, and just now almost set up a goal. He's good defensively as well. Like I said before, there are three or four forwards who I'd send down before him.

Would be nice to play a game where the goalie doesn't let 3 goals in on 15 shots.
I don't care how they go in. Good shots or bad.
3 goals on 15 shots is BRUTAL.

Come on. I am unimpressed with Smith too, but that replay was from above the glass.

Just don’t even try defending Smith on that one.
Slow shot from the blue line that he should have seen all the way from stick to the back of his net.

Phoenix Copley is going to get his first NHL win this afternoon, isn't he? We sure haven't made him make tough saves.

Great, it clearly shows there was no screen on Smith regardless. He just missed it.

Another three goals on 18 shots for Smith. Can he not suck for one game? Didn’t like 2/3 of those goals.
I realize the teams defense isn’t great right now either but it would be nice if Smith could bail them out for once.

Seen how? From the behind the net replay he had Jaskin directly in front screening and at least one other body as a Flame tried to block it and completely hid the shot from Smith's view.

I don't give goalies a lot of breaks on goals, being of the "all shots are stoppable" viewpoint. But there were indeed two levels of screen. There was the guy in front, and a knot of players at the top of the circle. The puck went between them. Of the situations Smith has trouble with, long shots aren't really an issue. So all of that plus his reaction tells me he couldn't see it.

Mike smith isn’t a starting goalie, hasn’t been since his injury. The writing is on the wall. Goaltending could not be worse to start the season.

Where he left a MASSIVE rebound opportunity.. just like the other goals this game?
Smith is playing like crap and he needs to turn it around. Yesterday.

Just fast is Czarnik's description. Dube is in the tough places, makes good passes, plays good defence and has a non stop motor.
I take it you'd rather have Mangiapane.
