No reason for Smith to have a guy parked in his face either. Terrible defense

Dube just always seems to be a few steps away from the play.

Love that shift by the Lindholm line. Neal leading the charge with a strong response shift.

There was no screen on that goal. Smith saw it the whole way in despite the guy in front.

The guy shouldn't be standing right in front of smith alone. But he is there, and smith isn't even trying to battle to see around him. Just goes to his knees and stares at the caps players numbers.

Except it's going to happen. But a slow shot from the point should be trackable for most NHL goalies with one guy in front of him. I can't figure out how he missed that one.

There were actually two levels of screen.

Smith is basically playing underneath the crossbar. He just doesn’t look right

Oilers beat the Preds 5-3 and have now officially passed us in the standings. C'mon Flames, please don't let this happen.

Also what was Monahan doing in the corner with no players or no puck anywhere to be seen

Flames need to stop wasting time toying with them in the offensive zone. Just get it on net. Right around the net and continuing to circle, circle, circle.

Can't say the effort isn't there. Neal playing well with keeping and gaining possesion and he's taking every opportunity to get puck to the net, even if not a clear shot. Other lines need to start doing the same.

Absolutely. The excuses people make for Smith blow my mind.

They just showed the replay from behind the net, he had an absolute clear view of the shot.

IMO getting Ovechkin fired up is a bad idea from Neal.
