Chucky called the team out last game, I hope someone stepped up and set the tone after last nights disastrous game. I know we likely will never hear about it, but the comments made to the media from some of the "leaders" are sad and redundant.

Gio should have kept it short and simple, "we sucked" - "It's on us to fix this disaster"
I'm tired of the cliche #### honestly, someone nut up and call it what it is.

Is it ok to complain now about the lack of physicality and pushback this team has lacked for years? Usually you get chided by the enlightened ones that say there's no room for that in the game now, claim it's about skill, and make Brian Burke truculence jokes. Yeah, the game is mostly about skill but it's also about giving half a #### and playing with passion and purpose. When an actual tough (and good) team like Boston gets beat 7-0 by the Capitals they respond with their best player punching a Capital in the face. Showing that they haven't given up, sending a message for next time. This stuff is important and our team lacks it. You see it every time they play a rivalry game agains the goddamn oilers, fold like a ####ty Bud Light promo lawn chair.

FML, may as well put these pussies in skirts. What a discrace of a hockey team. 0 fighting majors, 0 roughing. Has a team ever lost by 8 without roughing or fighting?Where are Sutter and Grats? We need some mojo here. This team is and has been the softest in the NHL for the last few years. Results are as expected. Gutless teams win nothing.
Pathetic make up of the team by Treliving. I was already disgusted after the Montreal game when Anderson gets smoked by Domi after the game and NO ONE did a single thing.
At least when the Young Guns got smoked the opposing team knew to start benching their stars for the 3rd period.

We lost so much when Engelland left. How sad is that? We should have gave Brodie to Vegas.

Step 1: Trade Stone to Ottawa for Boroweicki.

The team is still .500, and almost all his examples were significantly worse through their first 12-22 games before gettings this on track.

Please let this be the case. I just don't get how this is the same team that 2 weeks ago shut out Nashville and dominated Colorado for 55 minutes.
Because they're the Flames. When was the last time anyone can say this team was consistently good night in and night out for more than a week or two at a time?

This is the kind of game you need for us to get your act together. No one played good that game.

And I feel terrible for Smith, the team should really apologize to him. Played like crap in front of him and even Rittich.

I wonder if Smith, known for calling out his team, is the kind of guy they want to apologize to

Hoping this is just a team changing gears and thinking the system the coach wants to play instead of just playing it which should come after the transition....

This is the 10 or so game window where everyone gets used to each other. It will get better. All you could really do last night was laugh at the end of it and try to have fun with how absurd it all was. It sucked, but its going to get better.

This last 3 games has shown me that the team is back to inconsistent play and looks like the are a non NHL team with not enough will when stuff gets tough. Very concerning to say the least

They're going to get murdered just as bad by Washington.

I mentioned it in the GT but can anyone find the clip around 14:00 in the 2nd period where 2 flames came into the corner against 1 pens D and both of them stopped 2 feet short of him and waved their sticks? It was one of the most embarrassing things I've ever seen.

Whats funny is I'm not even angry.

I was excited at the start of the season, but it is obvious this is the same inconsistent garbage team we have watched for years now.

They may go on a run in Nov/Dec with like 7+ in a row to look like "contenders" but I think we all know that at the end of the season, they will be trying to scrape into the playoffs for the opportunity to get dominated in round 1.

Yay Flames.

Could be a blessing in disguise.

The team would be more likely to continue sleepwalking if this was 3-2.

Yea ok, this was a stinker no doubt.
Good thing it's October and they don't take away points for goals against.
They should be bag skated this morning for sure, will be interesting to see how Peters responds.

Yay Flames.
I think Brad could change their fortunes from that typical story with a ballsy move to upgrade the goaltending during this season.

There's enough talent there now, even if the motivation/worth ethic is spotty early on.

The stinking Oilers almost won two rounds with one dangerous line thanks to Talbot. A deeper Flames team could do similar or better damage with a nightly .920 guy locked in net.

Saw this last night in the highlights and instantly knew what you were talking about.
