Don't know which Hab team will show up. The fun to watch, fast as hell forecheckers or the ones who stunk against Ottawa on Saturday. Price seems to have his mojo back and the team is following the lead of Gallagher and playing hard. Should be a fun game.

You might not think this is an important game for Rittich, but given back to back starts for the first time since he tried taking the reigns last year its time to make a statement.

Interesting goalie switch. Flames should win with depth alone.

Love this move by Peters to start Rittich. Reward a guy for a good performance, light a fire under under the highly competitive Smith.

He has really grown on me. New school in regards to system but old school the way he handles the bench and players.

Looks like Alzner will be scratched for the Habs today.

Tatar - Danault - Gallagher
Drouin - Domi - Lehkonen
Byron - Kotkaniemi - Armia
Deslauriers - Peca - Shaw
Hudon - Scherbak

Benn - Petry
Reilly - Juulsen
Mete - Ouellet
Alzner

Price
Niemi

Also looks like Shaw and Hathaway will get to know each other better.

Time for Moneyhands to light the lamp again - If it's in OT, that's fine.

I will donate $20 to CP for every goal that Jankowski scores tonight and $20 to CP for every goal Dube scores tonight.

I don’t even care about wins or losses at this point. Being a Flames fan this year has been so fun. Games are quick, lot s of chances, exciting hockey. Team doesn’t give up when they’re down. And players that aren’t cutting it are demoted, while those showing signs of life are brought to the center stage.

I would have personally started Smith. In my mind, he’s still the clear starter. But I can’t argue Peters’ approach here, throwing down the gauntlet for Rittich to show up. Like Peters said in camp, he doesn’t owe anyone on this team anything.

They need to find out what they have with Rittich this season. The more games he plays the better. If Rittich can at least be a 1b next season it would be big for the Flames.

Night and day. If GG was still here players like Brouwer would continue to be in the line up every game laughing at him throwing sticks into the stands.
