And we're sure it's not for the Thai cuisine?

I wouldn't buy online for this reason. Cash at a retail outlet is probably the smartest approach.

You guys are awesome. The prices are high? Yeah, well maybe give the market more than nine hours to adjust and figure things out.
I could go to a hunter and probably buy whatever animal he happened to kill yesterday for a lot cheaper than some ground beef at a grocery store, but I'm cool with Safeway. Could go to a moonshiner for cheaper, but Liquor Depot works.
You'd have to have rocks in your head to think this isn't day one of the winding down of Terry's business.

Well, I mean, most Terry's aren't only selling weed. Let's be real.

Oh yeah. Visa info is well known to border agents. Unless they have registered "Cash Advance" as their trade name like the my friend says the brothels in Nevada do.

Sure it is. But the market is well know, and they have (allegedly) been working on this for years. They could have made a bigger impact on the first day, but chose not too. Just disappointed in the roll out, but yes eventually it will likely be the main (mostly only) source.

Just don't carry paper statements over the border with you and don't leave your banking apps logged in.
The whole "CBA can see your CC history" is silly. The concern was that Visa and MC store data in the US and unlike the records of a US citizen, law enforcement doesn't need a warrant to ask for it from the company. It wasn't that your every purchase is automatically put into a CBP database that is instantly checkable just by typing in your name.
If CBP goes to the trouble of finding out who you have a CC with, going to the company with a request, waiting for a reply and then combing through those records; you've already been detained and in a heap of trouble.

I would rather wait, plant my in seeds, grow my own weed, dry it and do whatever else that needs to happen to it before smoking before I'd pay 16 bucks a gram like the bc government store is pricing.
I know it's a bit of a novelty for you albertans, having a storefront, but for us in bcthere have been stores all over town for years selling nowhere close to that amount.
This is cartel behavior.

And unlike alcohol, producing your own weed is not too complicated. I would definitely consider trying to grow 4 plants. Why not?
I may make the trek to one of the 2 stores today, just to check it out. Will report back if I do.

If people will pay $100+ for scotch, some schmuck will pay $16/g for weed.
Like, median pricing will settle out. Your options aren't only Grey Goose and Russian Prince here.

Yeah, these GD cartels. Now they have to pay provincial taxes, federal taxes, EI, CPP, benefits, vacation pay, pension plans/RRSP matching, municipal taxes. How dare they charge more than Terry!
Get real. This is exactly what Canadians should want legalization to look like.
You aren't necessarily paying too much now...you weren't paying enough before.

It doesn't work like that.
If I am paying $60 for grey goose I am not suddenly going to pay $120 for grey goose if there are any other options out there for less.
Vancouver has literally more than a hundred retail pot stores selling from 3-12 a gram. And a legal online store selling for 10-16.
