Haven't posted in awhile, but I'm really excited hockey is back. Just in time because the rugby (NRL) just finished here.
I've been impressed with BT's summer:
- Getting rid of GG and Brouwer was great.
- I wasn't thrilled about the Hamilton trade, but I think Hanifin will get to that level (or better) in a few years and we got Lindholm (needed another top 6 forward).
- I'll reserve my judgement on Peters as well, but I'll give him 40 games to see where the Flames are.
- The UFA additions were great: Ryan, Neal, Czarnik
- Rookies making the team shows a change in philosophy: Dube and Valimaki
Cautiously optimistic this season. Hoping to battle for the Pacific division title and more.

Second half of a double header. With season opener stuff, puck drop probably won't be till 8:15 if I had to guess.

I will be shocked if the Flames win tonight, because it's the first game of the year.
If the Flames do actually win, Peters will earn some respect.
Otherwise, I'm looking forward to the "fire Peters" comments on Calgarypuck and on overtime 960.
