Seeing on Reddit, that the first French goal should have been called back on offside, which VAR should have caught. Even after the free kick shouldn’t have been called in the first place.

Pogba was clearly offside, and is in the scrum for the header (I.e in the play)

^^It was an own goal, no offside there unless there is clear interference with the play. The penalty was clear cut on the VAR.

I think Croatia can still come back though, the French have two key defenders with yellow cards already.

I'll take a former World Cup official's opinion and experience in Webb over pretty much anyone else on any panel, no matter the nationality.

Other points he made stand firm. The natural movement can be argued, though I believe it is.... but a 4 min review time is a lot longer. It's not like he jogged over there and saw something blatant he missed. He even went back and took a second look and third look. That's not a blatant miss of a call, which is the intention.
I really don't think he wanted to call t but the voices in the ear certainly influenced him for those 4 mins.

I’m not sure what you are seeing. Griezman has made a diving movement to act like he was tripped, and is falling to the ground before he is even touched.

Eh, I disagree with Whiteout on a lot of things but he’s 100% right. Croatia has been better and they should feel unlucky/hard done by.

I agree with the TSN guys. Shouldn’t have been a penalty. If you need to take that long on VAR to award it you shouldn’t. But this is the World Cup of VAR penalties so..

Yes. The ball would have been centered in front of it did not hit the hand.

You often see fullbacks with arms behind their back when the winger is about to cross.

Not all fouls are deliberate. Some are unfortunate. An unfortunate trip, grab or handball.

If perisic was deemed to deliberately handle he would have been booked.

The ref and 4 guys in VAR called a clear penalty reversing a call. I think they are right.
