Yeah. I imagine he will want to got to a big US market where he can live anonymously and have less press coverage.

I think wherever Hoffman goes he and his fiancé will be on their best behaviour. For a while anyway.

No?
Different situation.

Who is saying it is the same situation?
But if an NHL player was in the midst of being accused of statutory rape of his babysitter, who here thinks the Flames are trading for said player today?

Garrioch says the Senators can still get a good return for Hoffman. Speculates they want a 2019 1st + a player that can help right away or high end prospect:

He also claims that the Blues were the team going after Hoffman the hardest.

Not a chance. I've seen a bunch of talking heads on tv speculate that they might have to put him on waivers . I personally think that somebody will give them a 3rd and b level prospect closer to training camp.

Her best behaviour doesn't really matter at this point. It's rather obvious that everyone else's wives/girlfriends are lining up behind Melinda. Even though he is exactly the type of player we need, unless Hoffman dumps Caryk, I would be extremely leery of bringing him in because all of that baggage is going to filter throughout the locker room through the players' spouses.

I’d be leery too. But I think when he moves you will see a bunch of PR where both he and his fiancé swear they won’t be a problem. And they probably won’t - they will stay low profile.

Since he does have a limited no trade clause my guess is that he won't want to be traded to any other Canadian teams. Ideally for him he ends up in Florida or Carolina

I disagree. If she's as sociopathic as the allegations indicate, you're basically dropping a time bomb into the organization.
It will never be a question of if, but of when.

James Duthie on TSN Radio speculated that there may be even more drama coming out of Ottawa. Oh boy.

I thought looking up EKlund was a guilty pleasure . Now I'm riveted by this drama. I mock my wife for following the drama in Hollywood but am I any better? What's next for me ... soap operas?

I was thinking the same thing yesterday... Monika Caryk has been around the team for the past five seasons and this probably isn't the only issue that has arisen during that time.
