My hope is his antics destroy his popularity, the party stabs Doug in the back like they did Brown and Elliott emerges as the leader. Wishful thinking, but we'll see.

Hopefully he lets the people who actually know what they're doing run the party and content himself with showing up at events.

I would expect that Caroline Mulroney is the heir apparent for Ontario Conservative Leadership hopefuls if Ford bombs.

I do? Please tell me more about my feelings, EE, since you seem to have much better insight into them than I do.

Perhaps you can explain how skyrocketing utility bills have advanced specific social causes?

I'm not alarmed and I've never watched Tucker Carlson. Ontario is already a smoldering crater, they are paying to export electricity.

I'm not sure why you need to continue with the ooga booga narrative.

Mulroney might work someday, but she came in with almost no political experience. It would be ideal for her to get a term or two in as an MPP before she becomes leader.

It's true, the more stuff I buy the further I stray from God's Light empathy for those with less.

Dude, you're like the most self-centered person on this forum, and that's saying something.

My real "FYGM" issue is that I feel there should be bigger tax relief on money that someone puts into an recognized retirement savings method. If I'm aggressively saving to ensure that I'm not going to be a burden to the state when I'm done working, there should be better incentives.

I'm fine with paying taxes on salary, and property taxes, and sales taxes, and sin taxes. But let me gain some financial security without ####ing banging me.

Why are people surprised? His brother was mayor. Mel Lastman was a mayor. Ontario likes their kooks.

While probably not what you meant, people who don’t have a lot of wealth or resources are more adversely impacted by social issues than those who do. So, if anything, you would probably understand the other side if you weren’t as comforted by monetary wealth.

Not to say economic issues don’t impact the poor, they do immensely, but they don’t have the privilege of overcoming social issues with wealth.
