That would probably explain why the evening session on Monday was so much busier than in past years. Weird that they would only have one evening session though.

I think another good question is they were asking where people go for news and information about the Flames... I was noticing that CP was left off the list. I think it would be a good question as while there is a fanbase forum element about it, there is also the post game professionally written articles by Bingo, excellent source of breaking news and locked down forums where only news is reported such as the new building.
Just surprised that they don't give a little more credit to this community as a source of information outside the fanbase posting comments, to what is essentially news.

I did like the "someone needs to tell Eric Francis" comment when only a handful of people raised their hands when asked if they got their info from the newspaper.
You are right though, I expected him to ask about even a general online source since he brought up the Athletic.

Any info on that European free agent? Or ideas on who it may be? I’m guessing it would be a RW but who knows.

Gaetan Haas was rumored to the Flames a while back, could be him. 26 yo forward plays in the Swiss league. Numbers aren't eye popping but I liked his play at the WC's

Apparently it was just said at today's event that the retros are the new thirds this coming season.

Now wear them for the majority of home games and make the current home jerseys our 3rds.

A few things new from today:
Saddledome App. Will have things like :
-line up indicator,
-lower level food ordering
- looking at 2nd level food ordering for pickup and go.
- in game seat upgrades. If you have a face value $100 ticket, if there is a $150 seat available you can pay to upgrade. (Sounds like its face value to face value.)
New "no-exit" rule for the Saddledome effective July 1st. You leave the building; even for a smoke, there is no re-entry.
Talk about Brodie being on the other side. Felt that it improved overall defensive pairings more than it hurt Brodie, and that it has been recognized and they are working with Brodie.
17 questions about how surprised BT is about Vegas' success. (12 from the same guy; the last to ask questions.) I was impressed that we got 17 variations about how much of a team effort Vegas is.
New arena (Ken King.) Sounds like they are working with the city, but keeping everything out of the media.

I wish they would make a no re-entry rule for King...

Hmm. The no exit rule is consistent with quite a few other venues in NA but I'm still a bit surprised. I wonder if it is partly a response to legalization being right around the corner and not wanting the smoke area to turn into a giant weed fest. Not that it isn't already about 50% people getting stoned.

At the one on Monday, they said they were the last Canadian team that still let you come back in after leaving for smoking and that they resisted changing it for a while, but it was part of the league security protocols.

I'm pretty sure that's my first negative post about King on CP, and it's a tongue-in-cheek joke directed at him in a thread about an event hosted by him.
Please tell me the rules of what I can and can't post about so that I don't make the same mistake again.

Help me understand this: by "other side" do you mean the left side? This pretty closely coincides with what Peters had to say about Brodie in his post-introduction interviews.

Let me start by saying 2017-18 was the least attention I've paid to NHL stats since the 2004-05 season. I think it means that him being a left handed shot- and being on the right side meant more time on his backhand, or going across his body.
I do seem to recall when he was paired with Gio he was on the left wing.

Just to add to the Brodie thing, I was there today as well, Treliving also mentioned about the success Brodie had and the success Hamilton has now had all playing with Gio. He felt there was a common denominator there.
I took from it they feel it was more of a how he's played away from Gio and not a Left side-right side thing and they want to work with Brodie on other parts of his game. However, he did say its a clean slate and its up to the coaching staff to put together pairings. No door is closed.

Yeah, that is how I feel about Brodie's performance.

I think this too but I do recall he played quite well when Gio was hurt late in 2015. He was solid in the playoffs IIRC.
