Awful period. Flames were the better team up until the 3rd Sharks goal, and then boom- two weak goals by Smith and a terrible defensive miscue by Hamonic, and the Flames' fragility rears it's ugly head. When things go bad for this team, it sure seems to snowball, and they just can't ever recover. So incredibly frustrating.

I really hope they can find a way to come back and win this game, but I think I'm done watching tonight. There's nothing fun about watching this team collapse like a cheap tent.

I wouldn't worry about it too much...Sharks aren't winning the cup, they are giving up a 2nd for him. IF they want to bring him back it costs them a 1st.

Flames or any other team can pick him up for free in the summer

This game feels like being punched in the gut, or being dumped by a long term girlfriend. Why GG wouldn't pull Smith after the third goal is beyond me. It sends a message to the players that this unacceptable save % is okay and it kills the morale of the players when you have to play catchup all game, and no lead is safe. We need to be better defensively, sure, but having such a terrible save % and awful 5 on 3 chance is unacceptable. I feel depressed that such a promising season is quickly falling by the wayside.

It's the reason why NHL players hate playing in Canada. It's almost like these commenters base their entire existence on the play of an NHL player they have never met!
