Pulling the goalie would show that he at least wants to try and win. It also sends a message to the team. Instead he does nothing, but stays the course determined before the game even started.

Team can never have everything aligned.
Flames get goaltending, but can't score goals. Or vice versa. Never can both score goals, and have a goalie that's not a sieve that night.
Can't be a playoff team when that's the case. It's not gonna change at this point since that's what the team is.
Talk about the team not having an identity? They do, it's just not good.
