You know how you stay a bad team? Prioritizing off-ice intangibles or fan-perceived effort-levels.
Draft skill above all else, no matter what, always and forever. Hire a good coach that demands team unity and “playing for each other”, and watch how “heart” grows from the bottom of the roster to the top.
Talking about trading out our most talented players is how we stay in oblivion.
Fire the coach, tomorrow. Stop waiting. Either hire Darryl, or put Gelly/Jerard behind the bench as an interim coach. Start fixing the culture now by removing the figurehead of the current culture.

I can't believe the people that think hamonic and Hamilton are the weak points on defense. Gio and Hamilton are an elite pairing by pretty much every measurable stat you can find. Brodie has been absolute garbage this year, for a guy that is supposed to be an elite skater he is never in the right position.

GG is a lot like the shift manager at a BP's too. Nice guy, trying to do a good job, but not very well. And the waitresses like him because he lets them get away with whatever they want.

The Flames pissed away points in December to SJ and LA and Anaheim when they dominated games with their roster and found a way to lose. Treliving read the riot act to GG to regain the room and he tossed his stick. It worked for those 7 games and that it. They then lost the next 4 to Buf LA Edm and Wpg and the team had tuned him out.
Sure, now you're seeing the roster implode and not have top quality goaltending to bail them out, but for the most part this roster has shown to be very good this year. They just need decent goaltending and a coaching staff that can help them navigate tough rough patches. But the coaching staff has list the room months ago.

10 minutes left in the game down two and I see Tanner ####ing Glass and Drew Shore on the ice. Enough of snenough. Get rid of the idiot behind the bench and the GM for continuing to allow this to happen.

Anyone who thinks Hamilton or Bennett should be traded are clearly not actually watching the games. Those two will be core pieces of this team in a couple years under any other head coach. And Hamilton is already a total stud

Yikes that's harsh, but I'm getting so disheartened. This is as close to not watching Flames games as I've ever been. I will watch though, at least for now, maybe.
