a lot of low percentage shots from the point. Great for the corsi fans, but not much help in generating any real offense.
Not fair. We want them putting the puck to the net. When they don't shoot, we cr*p on them for it. We can't just expect them to walk every puck into the net with a 5 way passing play.
Tell me someone didn't actually suggest the Flames shop Gaudreau. Un####ingbelievable.
Few teams where a winger is your best player go far
After this contract he likely doesn’t re-sign here imo
So what’s so unbelievable about it
Maybe try debate instead of the above
I like Friedman, but I think he is mostly wrong that players need to changeThe first offseason priority for Brad is to get rid of our AHL caliber coaches. Gully, Cameron, and Gullys buddy from the Canucks all need to go. Coaching has cost the Flames a lot of points this season. Continually playing Brouwer on the pp, playing Glass (who couldn't even play well with Stockton) over Lazar (who has played well lately), playing Stajan every game (out of allegiance instead of giving some needed rest), never trying Stone on pp (best point shot on team) until last couple of games, never trying Brodie with Gio (who have long term chemistry). Yes some players I think need to go. As much as Hamilton has talent he plays with no emotion and no heart. I would first get rid of the three bench coaches then trade Hamilton and try to get back a first round draft choice and maybe a third as well. We have a great core on this team and coaching staff who have no clue.

The sad part of this game is that I like what they're doing on the offensive side. They're crashing the net, getting lots of shots, and putting in the effort. I get that it doesn't go in some nights, but I can't blame the offensive effort.
The problem is that they're so poorly coached from a team defense standpoint that they can't walk and chew gum at the same time.
They’ve scored 3 goals in the last 3 games.
Effort or not, not good enough and that’s on the high paid players.

Backlund and Frolik are 3rd liners, we desperately need a second line center capable of generating offense.
I keep saying, try Bennett-Jankowski-Tkachuk and Frolik-Backlund-Brouwer. I think the BJT line would be a nightmare for the opposition and the FBB would be an outstanding shutdown line, capable of chipping in some offense here and there. But that would require some actual thought by the coaching staff. Not happening.

What Freidman said in the morning was hogwash. If anything, I feel like Treliving is going to be "reviewed", Gulutzan fired along with all the coaching staff. and then they'll get one of the top tier coaches to come in and run this team.

It's funny we mock the Oilers for trading away Hall and Eberle for pennies and then hear in the media that the Flames are about to do the exact same thing.
