Fair enough, but you have to admit it reeks of:

A) desperation

B) a glaring lack of depth.

I’m too lazy to do the research, but I would bet my dad’s 8 pack of super can Pil that we are the only team with a top 5 scoring tandem in the entire league that slotted in a WW pickup to play with them. Could be wrong though.

Unfortunate last minute to what was a good road period. Stars came out hard but then the Flames really played their game. 5 on 3 was tough luck, Dougie hit the crossbar.

I think 3M is going to get CGY back in this game. Backlund is skating well and Tkachuk continues to battle. Frolik looks good too.

It might be a time to power up the top line with Bennett and put Stewart on Jankowski's line to see if they can get a heavy cycle game going.

Gillies needs to be big for the team tonight.
