I would understand trying Stewart on the top line if they were in a slump. After watching Bennett have a couple good games up there and a couple wins why #### with it?

Flames best 5 on 5 chance was Stewart setting up Mony for a break away

Stewart's first game as a Flames, need sometime to settle in. Reserve your judgement for now.

‘Member when we scored 5 goals the last 2 games. Let’s go ahead and change the lineup and put a brand new, underperforming guy on the top line. Okay Gully, you tried it for a period, maybe go back to what was working.

Glen does nothing when they are losing most of the time, and then ####s with it when they are winning. Tick Tock Glen, Tick Tock.

Didn't see it that way at all. They hit two posts and had Monahan stopped on a good look.

It was a decent 5 on 3. Just didn't go in.

Agree. We’ve seen a season of him now and he clearly is not. Janko is not a third line centre (this year) either. Hope he develops, but facts are facts. Our third line, when compared to the rest of the league, is junk.

Horrendous goal by Gillies. It wasn’t much of a fake, a defender was there too, but he sold the farm on the slight fake and was embarrassingly out of position.

Oh, and I almost forgot..... Get Stewart off the first line. Gully takes FOREVER to make changes all year and the puts CHRIS F-ing STEWART on the first line in his first game! What an absolutely horrible coaching decision. Claim a guy off waivers and put him on the first line. Only in Calgary!

Hey Bennett, I know your confidence was most likely pretty low and we gave you a opportunity. Well you looked good and we are on a winning streak but we are going to replace you with our waiver wire pick up.

Stewart on the third or fourth would look well. First or second makes no sense unless GG is just trying to look like a hero with no care of looking like a fool.

Agree. Puzzling why you drop him back down to that barren wasteland that is the third line. I mean, the guy you just hustled off the jawas slots in over your underperforming 4th overall pick? Yikes.

Im not gonna blame gillies too much on that goal. Yeah he bit hard, but it was a split second 3 on 1 with the two outside guys in perfect positions, he was pretty much effed.

What was he supposed to do? It was a 3 on 1 with no help in sight. Can’t blame the goalie one bit

You would think the Flames are down 4-0 judging by this game thread

Feel like the Flames definitely had more high danger chances.

The goal wasn't even really dangerous, Gillies just didn't come fully across.

If we stop trying to force plays to specific players and just funnel our rushes to the net then good things will happen I think. Some forced plays and some plain unlucky stuff.

Hey Conroy.... I love you man, but, but, there are NO shootouts in the playoffs. Who cares if Stewart is good in shootouts? What's your end game Craig? Come on man, he's a castaway for Sh... Sakes
