I would like to see Wideman pull another Wideman-esque prank and show up in full gear.

What smart teams in a playoff spot are trading one of their top 6 dmen for a pick today?

Unless depth is added in another move it's not gonna happen

Man I like Sutter. Not just as a coach/hockey guy. Probably because I pretty much agree with everything he says.

You're telling me if some team came to Treliving and offered a 2018 first round pick for Stone you wouldn't pull the trigger? Flames are a bubble team and wont be doing much damage this year. Always keep the cupboards full for the future.

Duthie screwed up the interview with D. Sutter. Should have opened with "What are the prospects the Flames will make a trade today?"

Prices coming down on patches and Kane apparently. Still don't want the flames to do anything there really

They won't be offered a 1st for Stone so I don't think we have to worry about that

Obviously I would trade him for Crosby or McDavid

If we are talking a realistic return for Stone I can promise you the Flames would rather keep him for the playoff push.

It is good to hear the Flames are buzzing around the right type of player the Flames need, which is a scoring winger (and hopefully RW).

From the names we've heard like Kane, Hoffman, Tatar, Pacioretty, etc. it's clear the Flames brass knows what they need.

And honestly if the Flames pick up any of those guys or someone of similar calibre, Flames fans will have to agree that this is exactly what we needed.

The great thing about Sutter in something like this is that he doesn't really gave a crap. Other guys they bring in, even the usual crew, are always looking for face time and speaking time on each and every topic, for ego and or to try and appear like an expert and stay relevant. He's been there, done that as a player, coach and GM.

Ridiculous that this coverage started over 3h ago.

So the Pens are out on Kane. If he's super cheap, and Treliving has wizardry accomplished on his next contract, then I'm open to him. If he's a rental and/or the price is a roster player not named Brouwer, Stajan, Lazar, Lomberg or Hathaway or even a D prospect not named Kylington, I'm out.

You could start TD coverage at 10AM and not miss much of anything.

My big concern is that Smith is out another month and the Flames are looking to put together a package for a goalie and a winger. Namely Kane & Lehner. With the news that the Flames could be looking at Tatar, maybe its him and Howard. Thats kind of scarier.

TDD is always lame now, but we keep falling for the media pump.

I'm strangely comfortable going with Gilles and Rittich for a month.

if smith is out long term, this season is over and Burke should lock BT in a closet with no phone until after 1pm

So little happens every year, and yet there's always 10+ hours of coverage exclusively dedicated to it; producers must just dread TDD.
It must suck having to plan 9 hours worth of empty content and puff pieces to fill the massive voids.
